Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to common questions about fit, process, and how I work.

What tools do you use?

Figma is my primary design tool for UI/UX work.

On the design engineering side, I work with React, Rails, HTML/CSS/JS, and modern frontend tooling.

I have also worked with Shopify, Framer, and WordPress when projects call for them.

How comfortable are you with AI in your workflow?

Super comfortable. I am testing, experimenting, and playing around with AI tools on nights and weekends.

Are you open to full-time?

Yes. With the right team.

Who do you work with?

I specialize in UI/UX Design for startups. I work remotely and am available during EST & CST hours.

I often bridge design and engineering for technical teams that need both skill sets.

What industries you won't work with?

I am not a good fit for the following – alcohol, drugs, gambling/betting, casinos.

How much does it cost to work with you?

It depends on the work (sorry, I know that answer's the worst!). If we're working together on a long-term project, I'll develop a plan with clear pricing for each deliverable that we can shift around as needed.

If it's a one-off project, you'll get a no BS upfront price that won't change.

How long does one-off project take?

Most projects last anywhere from 3 to 16 weeks, depending on the project's scope.

I also work with startups on long-term contracts that require ongoing design and frontend engineering needs, usually agile teams that need help with both design systems and implementation.

Do you work with developers or implement designs yourself?

Both. As a design engineer, I can own the frontend workflow, from research and UI design to React/Rails implementation.

When working with engineering teams, I speak their language, write production ready code, and ensure designs are technically feasible from day one.

Can you work in agile teams?

Yes! I am highly adaptable, look to improve on feedback, and work fast. I'm excited to dive into sprint planning, reviews, and even help push to production on Fridays.

What are preferred next steps?

First step is to submit the project scope with all the necessary information using the contact page. (more information the merrier)

This helps me understand your goals, technical stack, and requirements.

A follow-up call can then be arranged (or async communication) where we discuss the project. Talk soon!
